Muncy 65, St. John Neumann 54

Muncy defeated St. John Neumann, 65-54, last Wednesday at Montoursville to capture the District 4 Class AA championship. All five starters played the entire game and scored at least nine points as Muncy stopped the Knights from winning their fourth straight district title. The Indian totaled 23 assists on 25 field goals. In the second half Muncy went up 12 less than three minutes into the third quarter and never let Neumann pull closer than nine again. Mike Fry led Muncy with 20 points which included three 3-point shots. Branson Eyer and Noah Confer each scored 10 points and dealt six assist and three steals respectively. Ross Eyer scored 16 points, had eight rebounds and seven assists. Eli Weikle added nine to the cause including five assists.

Indians win semi’s, advance to championship game

Muncy 51, Northwest 44

Eli Weikle led Muncy with 17 points that included 12 points in the third quarter as they Indians defeated Northwest 51-44 in the District 4 Class AA semifinals and advanced to the championship game to take on St. John Neumann. In the semi-final win Ross Eyer and Noah Confer combined for 27 rebounds, and Branson Eyer finished with 11 points.
