Williamsport Area defeated East Lycoming in a major baseball division elimination game with a walk off, 4-3, at South Williamsport. East Lycoming had five players record hits in Jameson Smith (1 for 3, RBI), Roman Meckbach (1 for 3, RBI), Lyle Huggler (1 for 2), Logan Wurst (1 for 2) and Hayden Denton (1 for 2, RBI, run). Denton had the team’s only extra-base hit with a double.

Williamsport Area led 2-0 after the bottom of the second inning and East Lycoming cut the deficit to 2-1 in the third. Williamsport Area scored again in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 3-1 lead.

East Lycoming scored a run in both the top of the fifth and sixth innings to tie it, but Williamsport didn’t let East Lycoming force extra innings by securing a run to win it all and advance.
