The Indians went into overtime on their Homecoming night edging the Mounties, 29-28. In overtime Austin Johnson scored a 25-yard touchdown run, and quarterback Stiles Eyer threw the game-winning two-point pass to freshman Nate Rogers to get the win. Johnson finished the game with 70 rushing yards, and Jacob Fowler carried the ball seven times for 76 also scoring a TD. Landyn Wommer also helped the cause scoring on a 8-yard completed pass.

Hughesville quarterback Tyler Wetzel threw 38 passes completing 18 of those for a total of 179 yards, and Conor Knight finished 61 in receiving and Aiden Barlett completed 56 yards in their 54-14 loss to the Tornadoes.

Cantonwon Saturday’s home non-conference game against Montgomery Red Raiders, 45-12. Montgomery will play Warrior Run on Friday in a non-league game. Montgomery’s Coy Bryson and Parker Persing each scored a touchdown in the second half in their loss.
