Rachel Booth of Hughesville, earned a Master of Science, Curriculum and Instruction degree from Western Governors University.

Angelo Barberio, son of Mary Bennardi and Tom Barberio was runner-up for commencement speaker for the College of Arts and Sciences at American University. Angelo graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology last Saturday, May 9, attending a virtual graduation ceremony. He presented his speech at the Barberio house with 11 people present-and socially-distanced. Angelo’s MCATS were postponed until late June. He is currently working as an EMT in Washington, D.C., while studying for the exam. This month he is expected to apply to medical schools. The Luminary congratulates Angelo for his academic accomplishments.
