Eagles Mere Holiday Weekend

Visiting Northern Pennsylvania and the historic town of Eagles Mere is a good idea any time, but this year there’s an even better reason for enjoying historic Eagles Mere in Sullivan County at the traditional start of shopping for the holidays.

Historic Eagles Mere has been called “the last unspoiled resort in a town time forgot.” This year the Village of Eagles Mere, will host its “Eagles Mere Holiday Weekend”, during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend Nov. 28, 29 and 30.

The weekend will include holiday wreath sales; bake and soup Sale; specialty food tasting; the village’s museum with decorated christmas tree; and much more.

On Friday, Nov. 28, a “Turkey Trot” run around the lake (approximately three miles) will take place. Sign ups are from 10 a.m. with run at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded.

On Saturday Santa will be in his rocker by the Potbellied Stove in the Museum from noon to 4 p.m. (“Turkey Trot” rain date if postponed on Friday). Carry-out Chicken BBQ from 11 a.m. until sold out. Crestmont Inn & Condo Open House tours 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and horse drawn carriage rides – weather permitting

On Sunday, free fire truck rides (weather permitting).
