West Branch Chorale Schedules Christmas Concerts
The West Branch Chorale will present three Christmas concerts this year. Entitled “Merry Christmas To You,” the program will feature familiar secular melodies and new arrangements of Christmas carols.
A woman’s ensemble will sing “Come To The Stable With Jesus.” The men of the Chorale will present Robert Frost’s well-known poem “Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening.”
A collection of carols named“An Olde English Christmas” will showcase a double quartet, David Desmond, baritone soloist and Kathleen Radspinner, soprano soloist.
Lucy Henry will offer a flute solo. She will also accompany the Chorale in “Silent Night! 0 Holy Night! And “Pacem.”
Come and enjoy this 80-voice musical group. A free-will offering will be taken.
The concerts will be given Sunday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Muncy; Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. at New Covenant United Church of Christ, Williamsport.
A third concert will be performed on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville.
Joy Barto is the piano accompanist. Rev. Gerald Wagner is the narrator with Jeanne Berninger as director.
