Performing a seat belt check Muncy Chief of Police Richard Sutton spoke to driving parents of elementary school-aged children last Wednesday morning. Police and K-12 Principal Bill Ramsey distributed a new locally-designed seat belt safety informational card designed by the Community Traffic Safety Project, and supported by PennDOT. This is done in cooperation with PennDOT's Operation Safe Holiday, on now through Jan. 31, 2009. Police officers throughout the state will be conducting safety and sobriety enforcement to decrease traffic crash-related injuries and deaths, especially during this holiday period. (Knier)
