The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a one-day boating safety class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve.

The class will provide useful information to both new and experienced boaters. Those who successfully complete the course will receive a boating safety education certificate, which is required for all operators of personal watercraft and those born after Jan. 1, 1982, who operate motorboats of more than 25 horsepower.

There is a course fee of $10. In addition, the book costs $10 as well, although only one per family is required. The course will be held at the environmental education center. Please bring a lunch.
