Fifth graders at Ashkar Elementary give 'Optimism' for their PSSA's this month.

HUGHESVILLE – Students at Ashkar Elementary School in grades 3 through 6 kicked-off the start of PSSA’s testing with an assembly on March 9. Each homeroom was given inspirational words to encourage and promote all of the students best efforts during the testing.

In Jessica Pennella’s class fifth grade students displayed their word, Optimism. Student representatives shared their thoughts of optimism with Ashkar students. “Optimism is looking at the positive side of working hard, finding the positives of a task, and overcoming the PSSAs.”
