FBLA winners from Muncy High School who participated in the State Leadership Conference, (L-R) Junior Karina Fry, Senior Rebecca Smith, Junior Maggie Merk who took 4th place in Community Service Project.

MUNCY – Twenty-six members of Future Business Leaders of America from Muncy Jr/Sr High School traveled to the “Sweetest Place on Earth”, Hershey, PA to compete in the PA FBLA State Leadership Conference with their adviser, Heather Zimmerman, and chaperone Jason Gresh.

Sophomore, Bridget Murphy, won 6th place in Public Speaking I. She gave a speech on the FBLA goals and her personal experiences in FBLA. The team of Karina Fry, a junior, Becky Smith, senior, and Maggie Merk, also a junior won fourth place in Community Service Project. The girls gave a power point presentation explaining the fundraising efforts of the chapter from the Angel Dance. Money raised from the dance was used to purchase Christmas gifts that were donated to the Touch a Heart Foundation for local families in need.

In addition, senior and President of the chapter Vickie Smith, accepted a fourth place award for Largest Local Market Share on behalf of the entire chapter.
