Indian Run raised money for new sound system

Teacher, Angie Hoot and 7th grade student, Kailie Fritz, are burning up the track during the 2013 Indian Run at Muncy High School on May 22.
MUNCY – Students from Muncy High School participated in the Indian Run on May 22, 2013. This year, 125 students and faculty ran and walked around the football field to raise money to replace the sound system in the gymnasium.
During sporting events and pep rallies, the audience is unable to hear vocals, making a new sound system a necessity. So, teachers, students, and faculty made their way to Schuyler Stadium to help with the fundraising event.
Last year, 287 students and faculty raised $3,400 to purchase new books for the library a cause that affected every student.
This year, students and faculty chose a more ambitious goal and raised approximately $2,000 of the $10,000 target. Proceeds are earmarked to improve the acoustics in the gymnasium.
