Muncy Key Club members, Kylie Wright, Emma Coppes, and Rachael Moore are selling hand woven bracelets made from youth in Nicaragua as part of their service project this year. They have 400 of them to sell and will be at the Corvette Show in Muncy on Saturday, September 21. They are also selling them during Muncy’s 4th Fridays.

The Pulsera Project is a non-profit organization that began in 2009 when a group of friends traveling in Central America discovered a community of young artisans in the foothills weaving these colorful “pulseras” which means bracelets in Spanish.

Rachael Moore explained, “Our Key Club went to a convention and this is one of the service projects that we saw and chose.” Proceeds will support scholarships, environmental programs, workers rights, shelters for street kids, and many community development programs throughout the country.

Each bracelet is different and has a photo and the name of the youth who made it.
