East Lycoming FBLA students to compete at state level
Abby Sherman, Allison Russel, and Michelle Mostowy, local seniors from Hughesville High School have submitted their Future Business Leaders of America business plan to state judges. Out of all the business plans submitted in the state they made the Top 10, and are invited to the state competition to participate in a second part of their competition.
The top three finishing teams will make Nationals in Nashville, TN. The East Lycoming Team is currently in the top 10 in the state with a shot at the top 3 during the State Competition in April. Last year the team from the East Lycoming School District placed in business plan competition, eventually leading to competition on the nation level in California.
The girls placed high enough at the district competition to advance to the state competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania later in the spring. The Hughesville students developed a business plan for a full service gas station, including a mission statement, product line and complete budget.
