Musical performance showcases the US Constitution

The sixth grade theater club from Ward Myers Elementary School in Muncy presented the musical, "We The People" for two evenings at the Muncy High School.
MUNCY – Dressed in red, white and blue the sixth grade theater class at Myers Elementary School in Muncy gave a memorable performance on March 28 & 29 based on the preamble to the United States Constitution. Families and friends were able to see various points in history as they were portrayed by the students in the Muncy High School auditorium. According to instructor and director, Heather Diehl, the students were able to better understand the preamble as it was written.
“The show was great and the students were wonderful performers,” said Diehl. The opening act started with a musical number “We the People” which was also the title of the play sung by the entire cast. A story unfolded as the songs were staged between two acts and a 15 minute intermission.
Overall, the show was very patriotic ending with military hymns and the Star Spangled Banner and the reprise, “We the People.”
“In a time when there is so much negative things in the news about our country, we are trying to show what our country was founded on and what a great country we live in,” replied Diehl.
Cast members were: Brady Hamm, Aleaha Bigelow, Tanner Gold, Jacob Hill, Madesyn Brelsford, Amilee Miller, Collin Smith, Cael Hembury, Evan Dayhoff, Rylee McCafferty, Nikaya DeWald, Isaac Boring, Abby Edkin, Halie McGuire, Dakota Haueisen, Devin Crooks, Lily Huff, Gable Strickland, Mario Barberio, Hannah Freezer, Tierney Rudy, Amber Fry, Brenna Cotner, Faith Mihalick, Nevaeh Wertman, Ashlynn Fowler, Abby Millard, Mackennzie Markle, Autumn Harris, Elizabeth Rourier, Schyler Keller, and Christian Good.
