Muncy Future Business Leaders going to Nationals
MUNCY – Between April 7 and April 9, 33 Muncy High School FBLA members and advisers along with advisors Heather Zimmerman and Michelle Dubbs traveled to Hershey to compete at the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference.
While in Hershey, members competed in their respective business events, attended business and leadership related workshops, and supported team members during formal presentations. The Emerging Business Issues Team consisting of Karina Fry, Gavin Wetherhold and Maggie Rymsza placed second and will be competing at the FBLA National Conference in Nashville, TN, from June 29 through July 3rd.
Team members and their advisers are currently trying to raise $3,500 for travel expenses. If anyone wishes to help them defer costs, send donations to: Muncy HS FBLA, 200 West Penn St. Muncy, PA 17756.
Other winners at the FBLA State Conference included Junior, Bridget Murphy who placed 4th in Public Speaking II and Senior, Maggie Merk. Junior, Alexandria Swank, and Sophomore, Olivia Wetherhold placed 5th in Community Service Project. Senior Officer, Benjamin Coyner, accepted a third place chapter award for Largest Local Market Share.
