Local seniors were awarded the Carl E. Stotz Little League Baseball Scholarships last Wednesday, May 21. Matt Heinrich, Jr., from Hughesville received $1,000; Crystal Good from Muncy received $2500; and Matt Reinhart from Montgomery received $1,000.

All 3 students are star athletes as well as academic performers and were chosen anonymously from a selection committee that was a “painstaking process” to narrow down from 70 to 80 applicants. Ten students from Lycoming County schools received a scholarship that was established in 1993. This year celebrates a 75 year history (a diamond anniversary) for Little League.
