Hughesville High School takes first place in regional STEM competition

At Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Regional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) competition, Hughesville High School’s Engineering team of (left to right): John Tamblin, Instructor; Kade Heckel, Michael Karschner, Jacob Reynolds, Wilson Michael, Kaitlin Peterman, and Marilee Getgen presented their project of Microbial Fuel Cells. The team placed first and will continue to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for the state finals in May. They are now one of the top twenty-nine STEM teams in the entire state of Pennsylvania.
