MONTGOMERY – Four members of the Montgomery Area High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America and the chapter adviser, Betty Marr, will attend the 2016 Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference April 11-13 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
Returning to states again this year will be Samantha Foresman, Sammi Harer and Kelly Kratzer as well as newcomer MacKenzie Day.
During the regional competition held at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Harer took top honors in personal finance. Kelly Kratzer competed in economics and took the third spot while Samantha Foresman competed in business law and came away with fourth place. Day tried her knowledge at health care administration and finished sixth.
In addition to competing in their events, these members will be attending several workshops during this three-day event focusing on business as well as leadership qualities.
At the awards ceremony, the Ronald McDonald House, the recipient of this year’s State Project, will be given a monetary contribution to be used toward the foundation’s programs in Pennsylvania. The Montgomery Area High School chapter has been actively raising funds for this cause.
