Local students will walk red carpet in Ray of Light awards
Every year the Ray of Light awards are presented at the Community Arts Center. For ten years students have been honored for their performances in high school musicals and plays and a red carpet is rolled out to give them the Hollywood appeal for their timeless talent and devoted hours.
The award celebration is sponsored by the Community Theatre League and will be given on May 19 starting at 2 p.m.
The ceremony will be open to the public and patterned after the Grammy Awards.
The following local students out of ten participating schools are the nominees:

Shelly (Alexandria) Robbins in Best Cameo Role as LeFou in Beauty & the Beast

Olivia Karschner – Best Supporting Actress in The Brothers Grimm

Eric Karschner- Best Lead Actor as Narrator 2 in “The Brothers Grimm”
Jacob Reynolds – Best Lead Actor in “Beauty & The Beast”
