If you have a few minutes to spare, treat yourself to a walk among the business district of South Main Street. Empty storefronts now display works of local art that help enhance our town.

A group of volunteers were responsible for the eye-catching windows, timed with the second annual art invitational exhibition held last weekend by the Muncy Historical Society. The art will change with more seasonal decorations as the holidays arrive, and will stay in place until the new year. (see photo on page 10)

Added to our website this week is Dollar Stretcher and Moxie, both favorites among our readers. For those of you not familiar with either, Dollar Stretcher offers reader-generated tips and advice on stretching money, while Moxie is a “Far Side-ish” cartoon submitted by Shawn Raymond of Wyalusing.

This Managing Editor is red-faced after realizing that Veterans’ Day parade information had been omitted from our pages last week, and apologizes for not providing to our readers a list of activities observed last Saturday.

Also red-faced in last week’s issue for the incorrect spelling of Howard “Petey” Pewterbaugh. My sincere apologies to him and his wife, June for the clearly obvious mistake.

Happy birthday to Jaden Russell who turns 2 on Nov. 17; and to his grandpa, Dennis Grove, who celebrates on Nov. 19.
