Muncy
Best of luck to Ryan Tollackson from Muncy on his new job in South Korea. Ryan, a 2004 Muncy graduate, will be teaching English to Korean elementary age children. Ryan will be living in Jeon Ju, South Korea.
From Brandy Fessler, second grade teacher at Ward L. Myers Elementary School, who caught the omission of a fellow teacher in the front page photo captions in last week’s issue: “The Thanksgiving lunch was prepared and served by Kelly Groover’s students as well. Mrs. Groover also created the Flick scarecrow.” We appreciate the correction and regret the omission.
Congratulations to Muncy music teacher Stephanie Reitmeyer, who was selected as WBRE-Tv’s December Teacher of the Month! A special segment about Stephanie was aired last Wednesday on WBRE-Tv, and made us proud. Way to go!
Toys have already been collected once from our Toys for Tots donation box, making room for additional gifts until Dec. 17 when final pickup occurs. And the collection pile keeps growing on a daily basis for Santa’s Seniors, a program initiated by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, Backyard Broadcasting, the Montoursville and Lamarr barracks of the PSP, the Meals on Wheels of Lycoming-Clinton County Office of Aging and Step, Inc. The Luminary and East Lycoming Shopper are among two of the drop-off locations selected as collections sites.
