Sometimes, I think about how we possibly managed before the invention of things like cell phones, microwave ovens, or computers. Well, now I want to add one more item to that list: the cookie dough scoop! It looks like a miniature ice cream scoop and works like a charm – no more sticky fingers or odd-shaped cookies.

Montgomery Lions Club homemade sauerkraut will be available for sale starting Dec. 17 at Thad’s Place or from any Lions member.
Saturday, December 19, 7 PM, the musical drama “Four Tickets to Christmas” will be performed at the Watsontown Alliance Church, 1165 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown. Drama follows the escapades of an out-of-work family performing group. For info, call 538-9432.
Sunday, December 20, 11 AM to 3 PM, Santa will be at the Clinton Township Fire Hall. For a small donation, get your picture taken with the St. Nick and let him know what you’d like to find under your tree!

Thursday, Dec. 31, a New Years Eve Buffet Dinner/Dance/Party will take place at the Clinton Township Fire Hall. Meal features ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, filling, gravy, and all the trimmings, including home made pies and cakes. Doors open at 6:30 PM,meal starts at 7:30pm. Round and Square Dancing 9:00 to 10:00 PM, pork and kraut at midnight. Music by McNett Country Band, featuring Shawn and Tim McNett. Thursday, January 7, 5 to 7 PM, All-You-Can-Eat Chicken and Waffle dinner featuring mashed potatoes, gravy, brownie sundae, and beverage will be held at the Clinton Township Fire Hall.
Wednesday, January 13, 4:30 to 6 PM, the St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church will hold a Ham and Chicken Potpie Dinner. Takeouts available; call 547-6423.
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 7 PM, Mr. John J. Eastlake, a local historian from South Williamsport will be presenting a look at the history of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) Camps at the January meeting of the Montgomery Area Historical Society at the Borough Hall, Main Street, Montgomery.
Saturday, January 23, All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast featuring eggs, sausage, home fries, pancakes, and beverage will be held at the Clinton Township Fire Hall.
