Montgomery locals
Last December, the Montgomery Area Historical Society attempted to host their annual Open House and Candlelight Service at the Stone Church. The event was postponed at the last minute due to lack of heat in the church building. The heat is back on, so the society has rescheduled the Open House for Saturday, March 27, beginning at 3 p.m., followed by a Lenten service, beginning at 6 p.m., led by Pastor Gunther Bernhardt (Christ Lutheran Church) and Pastor Larry LeFeber (Clinton Baptist Church). The open house will feature historical displays, raffle tickets will be sold, as well as Alvira Revisited books and maps. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and will pose for pictures with children of all ages.
