Hughesville High School is putting on a production of “Anything Goes” on Thursday, March 4, Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6 at the Hughesville High School auditorium. Reserved seating can be made by calling 584-5111 or 546-6400. Years ago when I was in high school we put on this great musical. Jean (Avery) Hess was Hope, Michael Thomas was Billy and I was Mrs. Harcourt. Still one of my favorites!
March 6, chicken and waffle dinner, family style, from 4-7 p.m. at the Millville Volunteer Fire Company.
A clothing giveaway will be held on Saturday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Franklin Bethel UM Church, Rte. 42 Highway, near the intersection of Rte. 239, Unityville. There are lots of articles in many sizes and are free to anyone who can use them.
Coffee hour, music by the band, “Second Coming” Saturday night March 6, 7 to 9 p.m. at the fireside room of Friends Church, S. Third Street in Hughesville. The public is invited.
The Hughesville Garden Club will meet March 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church. The program will be, “Inviting Butterflies and Birds to Your Garden” by Glenda. Hostesses: Georgene Johnson and Glenda Temple.
The Friends of the Hughesville Area Public Library invite you to join at the next meeting in the library’s community room on Monday, March 8 at 7 p.m. There will not be an April meeting.
Huntersville Area Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at the Huntersville United Methodist Church for a tureen dinner. Meeting and games to follow. Please bring table service and a dish to share. New members are always welcome.
Glen Sharrow American Legion Post 35 Ladies Auxiliary monthly meetings at 7 p.m. held on the 1st floor meeting room in Hughesville the 2nd Monday of every month. All members and prospective members are welcome.
TOPS Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets at the Evangelical Friends Church in Hughesville on every Tuesday 6-7:30 p.m. Call 435-2902 or 584-4530.
All area teens are invited every Sunday night from 6-7:30 p.m. to Youth Impact at Bible Baptist Church in Huntersville. Exciting fun, activities, great food and a challenge from God’s Word will be presented each evening. For more information call Pastor Rob McKenzie at 435-3440.
