Hughesville Events
A turkey dinner will be held Saturday, June 5 from 4-7 p.m. at the Huntersville United Methodist Church. Adults $8.00, children (6-12) $4.00 and under 6 are free.
The Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department Carnival will take place from Monday, June 7 Saturday June 12. On Monday, June 7, the Pet Parade (my favorite!) forms at the high school at 6:30 and moves at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, June 8, is the Antique Car Parade which takes place at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Chicken BBQ will be available beginning at 3 p.m. and the Fireman’s Parade will take place at 5 p.m.
Carnival – Every night a different band will be featured and advance ride tickets are available May 23-June 6. Come out and enjoy good food, black and white milkshakes and support your local fire department!
Free Tai Chi classes will be offered most Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at Bodine Park, weather permitting, beginning on Monday, June 7. Call 584-3746 for details.
Family Day will be held at Lime Bluff Park, Hughesville, on Saturday, June 12 from 10-4 p.m. Rain date will be June 19. There will be music all day, plus a food, a craft show, horse shoe tournament, disc golf tournament, antique car display and many other fun events.
The Eastern Lycoming YMCA will be offering a weekly summer day camp for children exiting kindergarten through 6th grade and for young adults ages 12-16 from June 7-August 20. Contact Kim Dempsey at 546-8822 or childcare@elymca.org for more information.
