Well, the Lycoming County Fair is still going strong and has a lot to offer. I am certainly enjoying the food and fun!!

On WEDNESDAY, JULY, 21, Sunset Ice Cream and Senior Citizen Day. Reduced admission for seniors age 65 and older until 5 p.m. Free t-shirts to the first 1000 paid adult admissions with Sunset Ice Cream purchase. Free Grandstand tickets to see Ryan Peltonwith purchase at Sunset Ice Cream Stores. Open Holstein Dairy Show 10 a.m. Open Swine Show at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, JULY 22, Horsejudging at 9 a.m. Colored Breed Dairy Show at 10 a.m.

FRIDAY, JULY 23, 4-H Youth Horse and Pony fun Show, 9 a.m. Beef Cattle Show, 10 a.m. and Youth Livestock Sale, 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 24, Pony Pulling contest at 10 a.m. Antique Tractor Pull at 3 p.m. free. Free daily entertainment.

The summer season for the Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts continues on Thursday, July 22 at 6 p.m. with Brain/Food. A potluck dinner and a movie followed by a discussion.

On Saturday, July 24 at 8 p.m. “Three Men and A Maestro”, perform; four dynamic musicians who dazzle and charm the audience with a highly energized fusion of pop , jazz, classical, bluegrass and Broadway music.

Holly Weiss, author of Crestmont, makes a guest appearance at the prestigious Eagles Mere Museum on Saturday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Books are available for sale and personalized signing by the author.

Crestmont, Weiss’s debut novel, was inspired by her trip to Sullivan County in 2006. A New York resident, Weiss returned to Eagles Mere eight times to conduct interviews and do research. Crestmont was released to critical acclaim in May 2010. Step into the life and loves of the staff in the 1920s at The Crestmont Inn in Eagles Mere.
