Tuesday, September 7, 11 a.m., the Montgomery Area Senior Citizens will meet at the St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church, Rt. 405, Montgomery. Health Checks, provided by the Susquehanna Home Health Service, will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a tureen dinner will follow at noon. Visitors are welcome and reservations are not necessary. Please bring table service and a dish to share. Montgomery ‘s police chief, Terry Lynn, will speak on the history of law enforcement in the borough and also of the murder of Police Chief Henry Hand in 1938.
Saturday, September 11, all day, the 9th Annual 9-11 Memorial Ride will be hosted by the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Company. Festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m., Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., vendors, live music, food, beverages; Ride begins at 4:00 p.m; Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. All riders must register for the thirty-seven mile motorcycle ride through South Williamsport, Williamsport, Pennsdale, Hughesville, Muncy and back to Montgomery.
