Saturday, September 11, all day, the 9th Annual 9-11 Memorial Ride will be hosted by the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Company. Festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m., Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., vendors, live music, food, and beverages. The Ride begins at 4:00 p.m. with a Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. All riders must register for the thirty-seven mile motorcycle ride through South Williamsport, Williamsport, Pennsdale, Hughesville, Muncy and back to Montgomery. On September 11 and 12, Civil War re-enactors will be present at the carnival grounds in Montgomery Borough for a Living History Weekend. This free event is sponsored by Montgomery Borough.
Sunday, September 12, Fourth Annual Blue Grass by the River held at Montgomery Park. Music from 12 to 6 p.m. Food, door prizes, raffles so bring a chair and a friend! Musicians scheduled include the Lykens Valley Bluegrass Band, Remington Ryde, Louie Setzer & Appalachian Mountain Boys, Partners In Time, and The Greenwood Valley Boys. Saturday, October 9, 2010, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Hall, Route 54. The Montgomery Area Historical Society and the Dean McNett family present A Tribute to the Radio Corral and Bob and Dean McNett. Featured will be performences by the McNett Country Band. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. and seating is limited. No admission will be charged, however, donations will be accepted.
