Hughesville events

The Jessica Ann Hicks Bike Road Race and Family Fun Day Festival will be held Saturday, September 18 at Van Rensselar Park in Picture Rocks from 9 a.m. 4 p.m. Registration for the race is 8:30-10 a.m. Lots of fun for everyone.

Members of Picture Rocks Senior Citizens will meet at Picture rocks Park on Sunday, September 19 at 4 p.m. for a hot dog roast and picnic. Bring tableware and a dish to pass. A meeting will follow.

Bob Webster will be doing a program on the local history of Hughesville at the East Lycoming Historical Society on Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The YMCA winter league swim team registration will be held on October 6 and 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Eastern Lycoming YMCA Community Room.

Congratulations to the Hughesville Spartans on their big victory over Troy last Friday night. This week’s game is away at Lewisburg and begins at 7 p.m. Pack up your blankets and travel down to Lewisburg to support your hometown team!
