Christmas Comes Early to the Muncy Historical Society
On Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m., a flannel nightgown-clad Bill Poulton will seat himself in front of the Society’s fireplace to read Clement Clarke Moore’s “The Night Before Christmas” classic. This annual event is designed to entertain both young and old alike, and like past years, Santa Claus is expected to make a guest appearance.
The meeting room will be decorated and some of the Society’s toy collection will be on display. There will be plenty of opportunities for picture-taking and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras.
The Society’s meetings and events are always open to the public and light refreshments will be served immediately following the reading.
The gift shop will also be open for holiday shopping from 10 a.m. to noon.
