Clothing giveaway Dec. 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church on Houston Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 18, 4:00 p.m., Montgomery Historical Society’s 6th Annual Open House at Stone Church near Montgomery. This is your last chance to buy a raffle ticket; winners will be announced before the candlelight Service, which starts at 6 p.m. Pastors Michael Hill (Elimsport United Methodist Church) and Gunther Bernhardt (Christ Lutheran Church) will lead the service. A community choir directed by Joanna Miller (Grace Presbyterian Church) will provide special music. To reach the Stone Church, turn from Route 15 onto Allenwood Camp Lane, drive past White Deer Golf Course and into the Bureau of Prison grounds, and then follow signs. Please do not use the entrance to FCC Allenwood that is opposite Reptiland.

Wednesday, Dec. 29, noon to 6 p.m., bloodmobile at the Clinton Township Fire Hall.

Friday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve celebration at the Clinton Township Fire Hall featuring the Tim and Sean McNett and the McNett Country Band. Doors open at 6 p.m., buffet meal including ham, turkey, filling, mashed potatoes and gravy, and homemade pies will be served at 7 p.m. Round and square dancing starts at 7:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Dec. 23; please call Dot McNett at 547-6928.

Tuesday, January 11, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m, The “Montgomery Community Closet” at the Christ Lutheran Church, 50 East Houston Avenue, Montgomery, offers free clothing to anyone in the Montgomery School District who has a clothing need. Donations of clean clothing and shoes will also be accepted during this time.

Wednesday, January 12, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Chicken and Biscuit Dinner at St. John’s Lutheran (Brick) Church, Route 54, Montgomery. Take-outs available; call 547-6423.
