The 39+ Club will meet at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 12. The guest speaker will be Garth Everett talking about Marcellus Shale. Lunch will be served around 11:45 a.m. Please bring a dish to share.

Bethany United Methodist Church will be having a Vegetable Soup Sale on Friday, January 14. Please order by January 12 by calling 584-2044 or 584-2301.

The Hughesville Area Public Library Pre-School Story Hour will be held on Friday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. There will be stories and a simple craft for preschoolers. Please register so that enough craft materials are available 584-3762.

Members of Picture Rocks Senior Citizens will meet at Picture Rocks United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 16. There will be a meeting and refreshments.

The Lairdsville Volunteer Fire Companywill be holding an all-you-can-eat Sunday Breakfast on January 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 ages 6-12 and under 6 are free.
