Snowshoe nature walk at R.B. Winter State Park in Mifflinburg from 10 a.m. to noon. Enjoy a winter nature walk after learning the basics. Registration is required by calling 966-1455.
* On Fri. Feb. 18 attend the 14th annual Great Backyard Bird Count at R.B. Winter State Park. Birders of all ages may join collecting data for the Great Backyard Bird Count from Feb. 18-21. People may count the birds in their backyards or surrounding wild areas and report them over the internet to Cornell University at www.birdsource.org/gbbc to prepare for the count.
A safe boating course will be offered Feb. 19 at Gander Mountain from 9 to 5. A fee and registration is required by calling 435-2193. Class size is limited and those who complete the class will receive a Coast Guard Auxiliary boating certificate and qualify for the state certificate.
