Feb. 17 a workshop “Vision and Success at School” will be held at Vision and Learning Center, 112 S. Main St., Muncy. Call Karen at 546-4885 to register. It will run from 7 to 8 p.m.

* On Fri. Feb. 18 attend the 14th annual Great Backyard Bird Count at R.B. Winter State Park. Birders of all ages may join collecting data for the Great Backyard Bird Count from Feb. 18-21. People may count the birds in their backyards or surrounding wild areas and report them over the internet to Cornell University at www.birdsource.org/gbbc to prepare for the count.

A safe boating course will be offered Feb. 19 at Gander Mountain from 9 to 5. A fee and registration is required by calling 435-2193. Class size is limited and those who complete the class will receive a Coast Guard Auxiliary boating certificate and qualify for the state certificate.

Feb. 21 Daffodil orders due for the American Cancer Society and can be ordered at Muncy Bank & Trust, the sponsor.

Feb. 23 at the Vision and Learning Center on 112 S. Main St. there will be a free workshop for parents from 7 to 8 p.m. titled “The Homework War: Is Your Child Ready to Read?” For more information call Karen at 546-4885.

Feb. 25 -26 the 13th annual Icebreaker Sportsmen’s Expo will be held at the Christ Wesleyan Church from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 4 Saturday. A complete schedule is available at www.icreakersportsmen.com

Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Dr. will hold a Lasagna Dinner on Saturday, March 5th at 4 p.m. (A children’s meal will be offered). Take-outs available. Further information, call the church office at 538-1017.

Follow maple sugaring from sap to syrup at Montour Preserve from Feb. 26 through March 6. Free programs begin on the hour starting at noon in the Environmental Education Center.

Mar. 19 the Tiadaghton Chapter of the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation will hold its annual fundraising banquet at the Pennsdale Civic Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. For reservations call 482-4364.
