The Susquehanna Valley Quilt Guild will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday Mar. 24, 7pm at the Pennsdale United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd., Pennsdale. Lou Ann Baskin (Inspirations Quilt Shop) is our guest and will be discussing binding, among other concepts. Mar. 25-27 Hunter Trapper Education programs for youth ages 11 and older at the North Mountain Sportsmen’s Club, Shipman Hill Rd. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants must attend all 3 sessions to complete certification. Call 928-8941 for more information.

Mar. 25 at the Montour Preserve in Washingtonville Jon Beam will lead a program on the behavior of an unusual bird, the timberdoodle or the American woodcock. The program will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to go outdoors and listen for their “courtship ritual.”

Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown, will hold a Chicken & Biscuit Dinner on Saturday, April 2 starting at 4 p.m. Ages 4 & under are free. A children’s meal will be offered. Take-outs available. Further information, call the church office at 538-1017.

GriefShare Support Group begins a new 13-week series starting March 29. This special weekly seminar and support group is for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Meetings are Tuesdays, 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy. There is no charge for the seminar and child care is available upon request. Mar. 29 – 31 make an early spring door basket at Ben Franklin store in Clarkstown.

Mar. 31 the Muncy Library will host a job hunting skills program at 7 p.m. Program will include information on how to compose resumes, strengthen interview skills, how to network and conduct job searches. Registration is required by calling 546-5014 after 1 p.m.

Sat. Apr. 2 a basement tag sale to benefit the East Lycoming Relay for Life will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Muncy Baptist Church, corner of Penn and Market

Streets. The Relay for Life event will be held June 3 and 4.

On Sunday, Apr. 3, St. James Episcopal Church, located at 315 S. Main St. in Muncy will be having an Evensong service at 5 p.m. with a spaghetti supper following in the Parish Hall behind the Church. Evensong is a beautiful service of sung evening prayers. All are welcome and freewill offerings will be accepted.

Apr. 6 all you can eat good ‘n plenty supper at First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St. from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Serving baked ham loaf. Take-outs available.

Sat. April 9 Boating Safety Course from 9 to 5 at Montour Preserve in the Environmental Education Center. To register, call Kathy or Eric Mitcheltree at 570-458-6662.

Sat. Apr. 16 the 1st annual Spring 5K Family Fun Run/Walk will be held at the East Lycoming YMCA. Registration will take place in the Hughesville High School gymnasium at 8 a.m. For more information call 546-8822.

April 19 Senior Health and Lifestyle Expo from 8 to 2 in the Industrial Arts Building at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.
