Saturday, May 14, 1 to 4 p.m., Ladies Day Out Event at the Oak Grove Community Center, 2201 Elimsport Road, near Montgomery. Vendors include Premier Designs Jewelry, Scentsy Wickless Candles, Miche Bags, Thirty-one, Party Lite and Two Sister Gourmet, Mary Kay, and Celebrating Home.

Tuesday, May 17, 7 p.m., the Montgomery Area Historical Society will host Civil War historian Dave Richards as he presents “Life of the Civil War Soldier” at Christ Lutheran Church, 50 E. Houston Ave., Montgomery.

Tuesday, May 17, 7 p.m., Montgomery Area School Board meeting at school district office building.

Saturday, May 21, Black Hole Creek Fishin’ Derby.

Saturday, May 21, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. VBS Yard Sale at the St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church on Rt. 405.

Watsontown Area Business Association and the Warrior Run Fire Department will host a Fairy Tale Princess & Prince Pageant on Saturday, June 18 at 1 p.m. at Watsontown Community Park for children ages 0-8 years old. Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m., 4th annual 5K JesVic Race, beginning at the Watsontown Elementary School; registration at 7:45 a.m. Participants can run or walk, and there is also a 1/2 mile kids run which begins at 10am. Money raised is donated to local families who have illnesses in their families and are struggling to pay medical bills. Monday through Saturday, June 13-18, Annual Fireman’s Carnival at the Watsontown Community Park, sponsored by the Warrior Run Area Fire Department featuring nightly live music/bands, rides, games, and food starting at 6 p.m. Pet parade on Tuesday, and fireman’s parade on Saturday. All money raised supports the WRAFD.
