Every Wednesday, 2 p.m., until August 10, Summer Reading program at the Montgomery Area Public Library.
Tuesday, August 2, the Montgomery Area Senior Citizens will hold their August meeting at St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church on Rt. 405, Montgomery. Health checks will begin at 11:00, a catered meal will be served at 12:00 and the program will follow the business meeting. Reservations for the meal are required and may be made by calling Charles Duchman at 547-1160 no later than Friday, July 29. Visitors are welcome for the cost of the meal. Please bring table service. The program will be an informative talk and slide show about water protection.
Tuesday, August 2, 6 to 8 p.m., 5th Annual National Night Out hosted by Watsontown Police Department and Warrior Run Area Fire Department at the Fire Department across from the Elementary School along Route 405. Live music and refreshments.
Wednesday, August 3, 6 to 8 p.m., book signing at the Montgomery Library. Joan Wheal Blank will be signing “Around Montgomery Borough 1940-1990”, her second book on the history of Montgomery.
Friday, August 5, all day, Burger Burn at Sam’s Club sponsored by the Montgomery Area Historical Society.
Tuesday, August 9, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., The “Montgomery Community Closet” at Christ Lutheran Church 50 East Houston Avenue, Montgomery, offers free clothing to anyone in the Montgomery School District who has a clothing need. Donations of clean clothing and shoes will also be accepted during this time.
