Aug. 18 Muncy Garden Club meets at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, parish hall, 215 S. Main Street, Muncy. Program will be on “The History of Medical Herbs.”

AARP Driver Safety Four-Hour Refresher Course Scheduled August 18?A four-hour AARP Drivers Safety Refresher course will be held Thursday, August 18 from 12:30 to 4:30 pm at The LifeCenter of Lycoming Mall for individuals who have previously completed the two-day, eight-hour course. Prepayment is required. Please pre-register on Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:30 am to noon by calling the Lincoln Senior Center at 570-323-3096.

“Rocky Horror Show” will be held at the Pennsdale Volunteer Fire Company Grounds on Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Aug. 20 Village yard sale in Lairdsville. Also a car wash, flea market, face painting for kids, fun tatoos, a food stand featuring hot sticky buns, all at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Rt. 118 starting at 8 a.m. Sponsored by the Community Friends in Action.

Peach festival in Pennsdale, Saturday August 20 at Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road from 4 to 7 p.m. featuring peach sundaes, peach pie, peach cobbler plus a silent auction and a raffle for a handmade quilt. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new Nativity for the upcoming Christmas season. For more information call 546-2619.

Remember, Honor, & Celebrate at a September 11th Service on Sunday, September 11, at Watsontown United Methodist Church, that will remember the events of 911, honor those who gave during the horrific events of that day, and celebrate those who currently serve us through providing Emergency Services and Military Services. Demonstrations by local Fire/Rescue/EMS/Police Units at 5 p.m.; Service at 6 p.m.; and Time of Fellowship w/refreshments at 7:30 p.m., at 1319 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown.
