Thurs. Sept. 8 Muncy Creek Watershed Association meeting to be held at 7 p.m. at Shrewsbury Township Building. Nancy Craft will talk about various wildlife enhancement programs. The public is encouraged to attend.

Sept. 9 to Sept. 30 Twin Hills Health Center will be offering a free 4 week fitness class specifically designed for older adults. Program supports senior fitness & healthy aging. The class will be held 11 a.m. to noon. Call 546-5454 to register.

Remember, Honor, & Celebrate at a September 11th Service on Sunday, September 11, at Watsontown United Methodist Church, that will remember the events of 911, honor those who gave during the horrific events of that day, and celebrate those who currently serve us through providing Emergency Services and Military Services. Demonstrations by local Fire/Rescue/EMS/Police Units at 5 p.m.; Service at 6 p.m.; and Time of Fellowship w/refreshments at 7:30 p.m., at 1319 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown. Sept. 11 at 2:30 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St. there will be a civil war program sponsored by the Muncy Historical Society. “Deserter Country: Civil War Opposition in Pennsylvania” with presenter, Robert Sandow.

Butterfly Day at Montour Preserve Sun. Sept. 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Program will be held in the Environmental Education Center. A variety of activities for all ages will be presented.

Tues. Sept. 13 is the Senior Expo at Lycoming Mall sponsored by Representative Garth Everett and Senator Gene Yaw from 10 to 3. Health screenings available and lots of free information.

Sept. 13 the PA Association of School Retirees Lycoming County Chapter will hold a fall luncheon at 12:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy. To attend call 323-7546.

Sept. 13 through Dec. 15 classes will be held at noon for Strong Women, a program that builds strength training, muscle tone and flexibility to help lower the risk of osteoporosis. Classes will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tues. & Thurs. at Penn State Extension. Call 433-3040 to register.

Paws for a Cause Walk to benefit SPCA will be held at Indian Park, Montoursville Sept. 17. Donations will be accepted at 2805 Reach Road. Cat litter and dry dog food desperately needed for shelter.

Weds. Sept. 21 free vision screening workshop with Dr. Marcus Myers from 6 to 7 p.m. for parents and professionals of those with possible learning-related vision problems.
