Hughesville locals
Fun Fact For The Week: American car horns beep in the tone of F. If that’s true, all the trucks going through town must run in D minor!
Pet Peeve For The Week: People who still keep talking on their cell phones even after the flight attendant has politely asked them to turn it off! Believe me, unless you’re the ruler of the free world your call is not that important!!
Hughesville events:
Last week the Spartans defeated the Loyalsock Lancers. It was an especially sweet success considering Loyalsock had their “spirit week” last week and dressed up one day as the Hughesville community wearing farmer and red-neck attire. After the win on Friday, my friend, Janine, said, “Well, it looks like the Hughesville community went to Loyalsock and we dressed up as winners!” Congrats boys! We received word last week that Henry Crawford, former Hughesville High School teacher, counselor and assistant High School Principal, recently passed away. Henry will be remembered by students and friends for his commitment and friendship. We send our sincerest sympathies to his family.
Remember; take the high road because the low road’s so crowded.
