Vineyard Youth Center to host a fall open house for Halloween
MUNCY – The first Fall Open House at their new location for the Vineyard Community Activity Center will be held on Monday, October 31 in Muncy. The center is located at 99 Sherman Street where they moved into the building which was formerly part of Andritz Inc. (former Sprout Waldron) one year ago this month. The event will also coincide with Muncy’s trick or treat night from 6 to 8 p.m.
Youth and staff will be available to hand out refreshments and beverages to all visitors as they celebrate their one year anniversary. “As in the past few years, the Vineyard is a great rest stop for parents and youth and this event opens community awareness to the opportunities the Vineyard Community Activity Center can provide,” said Board member, Cindy Collister who gladly explained that treats will be handed out to all ‘Trick or Treaters.’ For those not interested in the treats, there will be plenty of recreational alternatives to choose from such as air hockey, fooseball, pool and TV videos. “We will also be open one hour past the Trick or Treat hours to have time to play games and socialize,” added Collister.
The Vineyard Youth Activity Center has been in operation for 14 years serving the local community every Friday night. The new location is available for parties, family gatherings, meetings and other events. There has been a car cruise-in and yard sale in past few months.
The Vineyard is planning a reunion celebration on Friday, November 18 and would like to invite supporters and former “Vineyard kids” to stop in for a piece of cake anytime between 7 and 9 p.m.
Every Friday night the center is open for ages 12 through 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
