Murder Most Comic in Muncy

By Staff | Nov 8, 2011

MUNCY – This week unlikely murderers will take the stage when the Muncy Jr. Sr. High School presents Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace on November 10th, 11th and 12th at 7:30 PM in the Muncy High School auditorium.

Tickets for the play, which is presented by written permission form the Dramatists Play Service, Inc., will be general admission for all and available at the door beginning at 6:30 on performance nights.

The 1940’s story centers on the Brewsters, two eccentric aunts, Martha (Rachel Mihalick) and Abby (Bridget Murphy) and their three nephews: Mortimer (Yanni Pashakis), Teddy (Josh Lloyd) and Jonathan (Michael McJunkin). Rounding out this comic family drama are Elaine (Olivia Renkel), Mortimer’s love interest, and Dr. Einstein (Bryce Edwards) a close associate of Jonathan Brewster. Members of this odd group have been responsible for murders in Brooklyn and beyond.

A hapless assortment of associates, police and potential victims played by Nickolette Jones, Rebecca Kriner, Katie Stepp, Liz Carey, Ted Coppes and Matthew Renkel complete the cast. The play is directed by Bob Taylor and the stage manager is April Feigles-Rearick.
