Wednesday, November 16, 3-5 p.m., first come-first served FREE adult flu and pneumonia shots at the Montgomery Athletic Complex.

Friday, November 18, the Montgomery Area Public Library will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a banquet held at the Genetti Hotel. The guest speaker will be Professor Dennis P. McIlnay, author of The Horseshoe Curve: Sabotage and Subversion in the Railroad City. An auction will also be held during the event, featuring books autographed by such authors as Janet Evanovich, Robin Cook, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Friday, November 18, 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., SOS singles dance at the Warrior Run Area Fire Department Social Hall, Allenwood. For more info, call 742-4448.

Tuesday, December 6, 12 noon, the Montgomery Area Senior Citizens will hold their Christmas Party at St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church. Reservations are necessary for the catered meal by December 2 and can be made by calling Charles Duchman at 547-1160. The cost for members will be $4.00. Following the meal will be special piano music by Tom Wetzel of Williamsport and perhaps a “Sing-a-long” of old favorites and Christmas Carols. Dues for 2012 will be collected prior to the meeting and, beginning at 11:00 A.M., health checks will be available from Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice. Reminder: There is no meeting in January.

Saturday, December 17, 4 p.m. Open House at the Stone Church; Candlelight Service starts at 6 p.m. Sponsored by the Montgomery Area Historical Society.

Wednesday, December 28, 1 to 6 p.m., Red Cross Blood Drive at Clinton Township Fire Hall, Route 54 near Montgomery.

Saturday, December 31, 4 p.m. to 12 midnight, spend New Year’s Eve with the McNett Country Band at Clinton Township Fire Hall. Entertainment will include round and square dancing. Ticket includes dinner and band, sauerkraut and hot dogs at midnight. Tickets must be purchased in advance call 547-6928 for more information.
