Christmas Comes Early to the Muncy Historical Society with Reading and Book Signing

By Staff | Nov 22, 2011

MUNCY — On Saturday, December 3 at 10 a.m., a flannel nightgown-clad

Bob Dunkelberger will seat himself in front of the Muncy Historical

Society’s fireplace to read Clement Clarke Moore’s “The Night Before

Christmas” classic.

This annual event is entertaining to both young and old alike, and

like past years, Santa Claus is expected to make a guest appearance.

The meeting room is decorated for the holidays and there are plenty of

opportunities for picture-taking. Parents are encouraged to bring

their cameras.

The society’s meetings and events are always open to the public and

light refreshments will be served immediately following the reading.

Located at 40 N. Main St., the Historical Society and gift shop will

also be open for holiday shopping from noon to 2 p.m. The recently

released book, “Prince and the Paupers” will be available and author

Guy Graybill will be at the society to personalize both “Prohibition’s

Prince” and this new companion book.
