Fri. Jan. 13 Legends of the Winter Sky is a program scheduled at the Montour Preserve from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Hear stories from ancient times associated with patterns of stars in the night sky, known today as constellations. Explore the folklore and learn to identify some common ones. Be prepared for a night walk outdoors. Meet indoors at the Environmental Education Center.

Jan. 14 the Muncy Creek chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual Hunting Heritage Banquet at 4:30 p.m. at the Muncy Valley Fire Hall. For tickets or reservations call Nancy Craft at 482-4364.

Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church is hosting a Spaghetti meal! On January 14th we’ll have a spaghetti dinner with sauce, garlic bread, salad, and Italian Ice! A winter tree walk in the woods is scheduled from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Montour Preserve. Explore tips and techniques for identifying some common trees using bark, twigs and buds. Dress for outdoors.

Family Story Time and Art Activity- January 19-Thursday evening from 6:30pm-7:30 p.m. -a combination story time and art activity which is geared for families with children ages 3 and older. At each program you will enjoy a special book with Miss Victoria and explore a related art activity to take home with you. All materials will be provided. Space limited.
