Jan. 19 Family Story time at Muncy Library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Story with art activity with children ages 3 1/2 and older. All materials provided. Space is limited. To register call 546-5014.

Jan. 21 A winter tree walk in the woods is scheduled from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Montour Preserve. Explore tips and techniques for identifying some common trees using bark, twigs and buds. Dress for outdoors.

Jan. 20 Lairdsville Faith Church, 6786 Route 118, will host Lynn Swizinsky in concert at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday morning Family Story Time Jan. 21 at Muncy Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Snuggle up with books, special friends and “warm fuzzies.”

Tues. Jan. 24 Spirit of Women program at Life Center, “Is Your Thyroid Making You Fat?” featuring endocrinologist, Dr. Margrit Shoemaker. This event is free and each participant receives a pedometer. Call 1-8777-883-4791 to register. Program starts at 6 p.m.

Jan. 24 E-B00k Expo Tues. from 2 to 3 p.m. at Muncy Library. Learn step by step instructions on how to use an e-reader and how to download e-books. Sign up at the desk.

Jan. 25 & 26 – Son-Light Distribution Days. Weds. 10 to noon and Thurs. 6 to 7:30 p.m., 130 Carpenter St., Muncy.

Jan. 27 Tween/Teen Duct Tape Craft Night at the Muncy Library after school Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. ages 11 and up. Make wallets, roses, cell phone holders and ties. Sign up at the desk.

At Home In the Woods: Staying Sharp, a presentation at the Montour Preserve on Sat. Jan. 28 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. A walk in the woods will explore tips and techniques for identifying some common trees using bark, twigs, and buds. Meet in the Environmental Education Center.
