2012 East Lycoming Little League baseball and softball registration make ups Friday, Feb. 10 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hughesville Public Library.

The Library will be having a Preschool Story Hour on Friday, Feb. 10 at 10:30 a.m. Miss Eleanor will have several stories and a simple craft with a Valentine theme. Register at(584-3762) so that there are enough materials.

Valentine Crafts for children in grades K through 6 at the Hughesville Library on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. All materials will be supplied. Please register.

Quilts featuring local history themes will be shown and their stories shared during meeting at the East Lycoming Historical Society on Monday Feb 20, 7 p.m. at the ELHS museum, 66 S. Main Street. The public is encouraged to attend.

Hughesville Library will hold an E-Book Expo on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 1-3 p.m. Learn how to download e-books from the library website to your e-reader. Pre-registration can be made by calling 584-3762.

The Benton Gun Show will be held on Feb. 11 and 12 at Benton Fire Hall. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No flea market items. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Hughesville Friends of the Library will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 13 in the library’s community room. Anyone interested in helping to support the library is welcome to attend.

Trinity Lutheran Church, S. Main & Academy Streets, will be holding their annual Fasnacht Dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This special dinner features sauerkraut and pork, hot dogs, spaetzels, mashed potatoes, applesauce and donuts. The dinner is open to the public. Take-outs ARE NOT available.

East Lycoming Kindergarten Registration will take place Tues., Feb. 21, Ashkar Elementary, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, Renn Elementary, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Thurs, Feb. 23, Ferrell Elementary, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 23, Ashkar Elementary, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Requirements are proof of residency, child’s birth certificate, record of immunizations. Remember; take the high road because the low road’s so crowded.
