Sometimes, we forget the truly great things that people in a small town are capable of. John Goetz is a great example of that. A 2012 graduate of Montgomery Area High School, John has been appointed to the class of 2016, on full scholarship, at the United States Military Academy at West Point. An honor on this level isn’t one we hear about every day, and it should be celebrated with great pride by the entire community. John will go on to learn and serve our country like so many greats before him. Take pride in knowing that this Montgomery alum will represent our small town with dignity and honor.

June 23 Montgomery Fireman’s Parade, forms at 3 p.m. at Montgomery Weis Market, moves at 5 p.m.
