Montgomery locals
This past week, I had the privilege of a sneak peek into the Montgomery Area Historical Society’s new location on West Houston Avenue, formerly the Adam Print Shop. I got to hear many stories of Montgomery’s past – stories of its people, events, and industry. Many items of historical significance have been donated to the Montgomery historical society through the years, and this new location offers a wonderful place to display them for the community. You will be able to learn about the schools of Montgomery, the Decker Mansion, the Last Raft, and so much more of the town’s history.
The Historical Society will open the doors to the new location during the Montgomery Quasquicentennial in August. I can assure you that the members of the Society are pulling out all the stops, and you will not want to miss it.
