July 20 & 21 8th annual quilt show at Myers Elementary School, 125 New Street, Muncy. Friday, 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, 10 to 4 p.m. Live music, refreshments and guided tours.
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN
Susquehanna Health and Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania will host a free Kids in the Kitchen: Taste a Rainbow of Healthy Snacks program Tuesday, July 24 at The LifeCenterTM, Lycoming Mall, Pennsdale. Children ages 4 to 12 and their parents or guardians are invited to attend and taste healthy snacks they’ll learn to make. During each session, Registered Dietitian Kathryn McKernan will teach participants how to select healthy foods to create snacks that are quick and delicious. Information on choosing proper portions of food will also be provided through interactive instruction.
Sessions for Kids in the Kitchen will be held beginning at 11 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm and are limited to 15 children per session. Register early to reserve seating for one of the three session times by calling 1-877-883-4791.
Family Fun night at the Muncy Library on Tuesday, July 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 5 and up.
July 25 and 26 Son Light House Distribution Days in Muncy on Weds. from ten to noon and Thurs. from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
July 27 Celebrate Christmas In July at Muncy’s downtown Last Friday event starting at 5 p.m. with a pet parade followed by a ‘Flash Dance.’
July 29 Jerry Haines in concert at the Montour Preserve from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Join this Pennsylvania singer-songwriter at the Environmental Education center for a delightful afternoon of acoustics, folk ballads, humorous songs and good old time music.
July 31 Planning to avoid panic in an emergency will be presented at the Meck Senior Center in Muncy Township at 11:30 a.m.
August 4 Muncy American Legion Post 268 12th annual Car Show and pig roast at 515 Legion Road, Muncy, rain or shine. Serving hot sausage, hot dogs and burgers until 3 p.m. Registration for car show is from 9 to noon.
Muncy Valley Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit will host regular Alzheimer’s support group meeting on Tuesday, August 14. The topic will be an open discussion. If you have any questions, please contact Mark Britten, Social Services, at 570-546-4040.
