Montgomery locals

By Staff | Aug 15, 2012

The Quasquicentennial celebration was a great success, and I would like to thank all involved in its planning and implementation for bringing the community together. Though there were a few glitches due to inclement weather, the entire weekend was filled with history and new memories, from State Representative Garth Everett volunteering for the dunk tank, to the band ClydeFrog’s Saturday night performance of old favorites, and all of the period clothing and historical presentations in between. The Montgomery Area Historical Society’s Adam Room opened as well, and many stories were shared there, too. Montgomery has a proud past, and, as evidenced last weekend, an even brighter future.
